Babb's Stellar Peoria Run...
(April
27, 2025) Following a rain-out on Friday
night at the Brownstown Bullring in Brownstown, Illinois, the Shannon
Babb Racing (SBR) team ventured to Peoria Speedway on Saturday evening,
April 26. The MARS Late Model Championship Series presided over
the annual 'Garry Swibold Memorial' at the Peoria, Illinois oval
and a $5,098 winner's check was on the line. Shannon Babb qualified
fourth quickest overall during time trials before placing second
in his heat race. After starting fifth on the grid in the 40-lap
feature, Shannon worked his way forward to as high as second before
breaking a rear end shortly after the halfway mark. The Moweaqua,
Illinois hotshoe wound up relegated to a disappointing nineteenth
place effort due to the mechanical trouble. Full results from last

Shannon Babb Earns Top
Five in Slocum 50 Opener!
(April
20, 2025) The Shannon Babb Racing (SBR) team
competed in a MARS Late Model Championship Series tripleheader in
the Hawkeye State from April 17-19. Up first was a $5,000 to win
program on Thursday at Cedar County Raceway in Tipton, Iowa. Shannon
Babb ran second in his heat race, but later wound up eighteenth
in the final finishing order of the 40-lap feature.
The MARS triple shot then concluded over the weekend
in the annual 'Slocum 50' at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa.
In Friday's contest, which boasted a $5,000 payday, Shannon grabbed
the fourth transfer spot through his heat race and later blasted
past nine competitors during the 40-lapper en route to a strong
fifth place performance behind only victor Bobby Pierce, Dennis
Erb, Jr., Brian Shirley, and Carson Ferguson. With a $10,555 top
prize up for grabs in Saturday's finale, Shannon finished sixth
in his heat race, second in his B-Main, and twentieth in the 50-lap

Babb Battles World of
Outlaws Foes in Illini 100 Weekend
(April
13, 2025) The #18 team invaded Farmer City
Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois on April 11-12 for the annual running
of the 'Illini 100,' which was once again sanctioned by the World
of Outlaws Late Model Series. On Friday night in the $12,000 to
win weekend lid lifter, Shannon Babb finished fifth in his heat
race, won his B-Main, and later wound up twenty-fifth in the final
rundown of the 40-lap feature after getting caught up in a serious
incident. With a $20,000 payday up for grabs on Saturday evening,
Shannon ran fourth in his loaded heat race before claiming a sixteenth
place performance in the 60-lapper. Complete results can be found

Kicks Off 2025 Season in Nippy 50
(March
30, 2025) On March 28-29, the annual 'Nippy
50' took place at Maquoketa Speedway in Maquoketa, Iowa and 44 MARS
Late Model Championship Series competitors piled into the pit area
for the doubleheader weekend. With a $10,000 paycheck up for grabs
in Friday's opener, Shannon Babb ran fourth in his heat race prior
to advancing to finish eleventh in the in the 40-lap feature event.
In the weekend finale on Saturday evening, which shelled out a $15,000
top prize, Shannon placed second in his heat race before starting
and finishing a strong eighth in the 50-lapper. Full results from

Babb Wraps Up 2024 Campaign
in Gateway Dirt Nationals
(December
8, 2024) Shannon Babb wrapped up his version
of the 2024 racing season on December 5-7 in the 8th Annual 'Gateway
Dirt Nationals' at the Dome at America's Center in downtown St.
Louis, Missouri. On Thursday during his preliminary night, Shannon
ran second in his heat race prior to finishing eleventh in the $5,000
to win main event. With a $30,000 payday up for grabs in Saturday's
grand finale, Shannon unfortunately missed out on the 40-lapper
after placing ninth in his qualifier. Complete results from the
