Babb Wraps Up 2024 Campaign
in Gateway Dirt Nationals

8, 2024) Shannon Babb wrapped up his version
of the 2024 racing season on December 5-7 in the 8th Annual 'Gateway
Dirt Nationals' at the Dome at America's Center in downtown St.
Louis, Missouri. On Thursday during his preliminary night, Shannon
ran second in his heat race prior to finishing eleventh in the $5,000
to win main event. With a $30,000 payday up for grabs in Saturday's
grand finale, Shannon unfortunately missed out on the 40-lapper

Hook Back Up for $100k DTWC...
(October
20, 2024) The Steve Lampley Racing team and
driver Shannon Babb helped close out the 2024 Lucas Oil Late Model
Dirt Series season on October 18-19 in the 44th Annual ‘Dirt
Track World Championship’ at the famed Eldora Speedway in
Rossburg, Ohio. On Friday evening during preliminary action, Shannon
went twenty-first fastest in Group B in qualifying prior to placing
sixth in his stacked heat race. After finishing ninth in his B-Main
on Saturday night, Shannon was unfortunately forced to watch the
$100,000 to win crown jewel headliner that was ultimately won by

#18 Car at Brownstown Speedway

13, 2024) On October 11-12, Shannon Babb
was in attendance at the legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown,
Indiana for a pair of high-profile Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
showdowns. On Friday night in the $10,000 to win 'CJ Rayburn Memorial'
and behind the wheel of Steve Lampley's #18 car, Shannon narrowly
missed out on the 40-lap feature after finishing sixth in his heat
race and fourth in his B-Main. With a hefty $50,000 first place
prize up for grabs in Saturday's 45th Annual 'Jackson 100,' Shannon
failed to transfer into the 100-lapper after placing eighth in his

Top Five in FALS Frenzy Opener

6, 2024) The Shannon Babb Racing (SBR) team
made their way to Fairbury Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois on October
4-5 for the annual running of 'FALS Frenzy,' which was sanctioned
by the MARS Racing Series. On Friday night in the $5,000 to win
weekend opener, Shannon Babb timed in second quickest in Group B
during qualifying, ran second in his heat race, and later passed
a trio of cars during the 40-lap feature to finish fifth at the
checkers behind only winner Brian Shirley, Brandon Sheppard, Jason
Feger, and Dennis Erb, Jr. With a $12,000 payday up for grabs on
Saturday evening, Shannon placed sixth in his heat race, second
in his B-Main, and tenth in the 50-lapper. Complete results from

Babb Runner-Up in $10k
Brownstown 100 at the Bullring!
(September
14, 2024) Following the 'World 100,' Shannon
Babb and his #18 team competed in one lone event this weekend -
the annual 'Brownstown 100' on Friday night, September 13 at the
Brownstown Bullring in Brownstown, Illinois. The MARS Championship
Series presided over the action and a $10,000 payday was up for
grabs. Shannon earned Fast Time honors of the 31 entrants during
qualifying prior to picking up a heat race triumph. After pacing
the field for the first twelve circuits from the pole position,
Shannon settled for a strong runner-up effort in the 50-lapper behind

Shannon Babb Busy in
Long World 100 Week at Eldora
(September
8, 2024) From September 4-7, the Shannon
Babb Racing (SBR) team was in the pit area at the hallowed Eldora
Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The busy week at the 1/2-mile, high-banked
oval started on Wednesday night with a $20,000 payday on the line
in a Castrol FloRacing Night in America Series shootout. Shannon
Babb placed fifth in his heat race and third in his B-Main, which
narrowly kept him out of the 50-lap main event that was won by Jonathan
Davenport.
The 54th edition of the ‘World 100’ then took center
stage at the “Big E” - starting with a pair of $12,000
to win, split-field preliminary programs. On Thursday evening, Shannon
ran sixteenth in his Shootout race and was unable to transfer into
his 25-lap feature. Things went much smoother for the #18 team on
Friday in a similar show, as Shannon grabbed the eighth transfer
spot through his Shootout race and later finished twenty-first in
the final rundown of his 25-lapper.
With a whopping $57,000 paycheck up for grabs in Saturday’s
annual ‘World 100,’ Shannon ran tenth in his stacked
heat race before deciding to forego his consolation event. Unfortunately,
the Moweaqua, Illinois ace was unable to make the start in the 100-lap
crown jewel headliner that was won in dramatic fashion by Bobby

Babb Bests Fairbury
Foes for First Win of 2024 Season!!

1, 2024) Shannon Babb Racing (SBR) secured
their first checkered flag of the 2024 season in thrilling fashion
on Saturday evening, August 31 at Fairbury Speedway in downtown
Fairbury, Illinois! Shannon Babb stopped the clock fourth fastest
overall during the MARS Racing Series qualifying session prior to
placing second in his heat race. After rolling off from the outside
of the third row in the 40-lap 'Triple Down Shootout,' Shannon made
his way towards the front of the pack and eventually utilized a
last-lap pass on leader Blaze Burwell to steal the victory. The
Moweaqua, Illinois ace picked up the $5,000 payday for the triumph
over Burwell, McKay Wenger, Ryan Unzicker, and Justin Duty! Full

Pair of Top Fives for
Shannon Babb in Steve Lampley's Ride!
(August
25, 2024) Keeping his #18 idle for the weekend,
Shannon Babb piloted car owner Steve Lampley's racecar in a pair
of $5,000 to win MARS Racing Series showdowns on August 23-24 in
the Land of Lincoln. On Friday night at Tri-City Speedway in Granite
City, Illinois, Shannon earned Fast Time honors during the qualifying
session, won his heat race, and later placed a strong runner-up
in the 25-lap main event behind only victor Daniel Adam. In a similar
contest on Saturday evening at Red Hill Raceway in Sumner, Illinois,
Shannon finished sixth in his heat race prior to blasting past six
competitors during the 30-lapper en route to a strong fifth place
effort behind only race winner Ryan Unzicker, Jason Feger, Justin

Babb Battles World of
Outlaws Foes at Highland & Maquoketa
(August
18, 2024) After a weekend off, Shannon Babb
Racing (SBR) rejoined the World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late
Model Series for events in Illinois and Iowa from August 14-17.
At Highland Speedway in Highland, Illinois on Wednesday, Shannon
Babb placed fifth in his stacked heat race prior to securing a victory
in his B-Main. After starting seventeenth on the grid in the $10,000
to win headliner, Shannon was able to gain six spots during the
course of the 40-lap contest to land in the eleventh finishing position.
Thursday's similar $10,000 to win program at Spoon River Speedway
in Banner, Illinois was unfortunately nixed due to inclement weather.
The dirt-slinging action quickly turned to Maquoketa
Speedway in Maquoketa, Iowa over the weekend for the annual running
of the 'Hawkeye 100.' On Friday night with a $10,000 top prize on
the line, Shannon ran eighth in his heat race, third in his B-Main,
and ninth in the 40-lapper after starting the race from the inside
of the eleventh row. With a whopping $20,000 winner's check up for
grabs on Saturday's weekend finale, the Moweaqua, Illinois standout
grabbed the fourth and final transfer spot through his heat race,
but was an early retire in the 60-lap feature and was paid for a

Shannon Babb Transfers
into Rain-Shortened USA Nationals
(August
4, 2024) Following the PDC, Shannon Babb
was back in action with the World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late
Model Series from August 1-3 in the 37th Annual 'USA Nationals'
at the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin.
The first $6,000 to win preliminary program scheduled for Thursday
night was pushed back to Friday afternoon due to rain and Shannon
started his weekend by finishing fourth in his heat race, second
in his B-Main, and twelfth in the 25-lap main event. In Friday's
nightcap, which also boasted a $6,000 payday, Shannon ran third
in his heat race and fourteenth in the 25-lapper.
With a whopping $50,000 first place prize up for grabs
in Saturday's grand finale, Shannon started and finished eighth
in Dash #2 to earn the outside of the eighth row for the start of
the 100-lap crown jewel headliner. The Moweaqua, Illinois star unfortunately
drew a lap 18 yellow flag and retired from the contest in the twenty-ninth
spot. The 'USA Nationals' was ultimately deemed official after only
56 circuits due to rain and heavy lightning. Complete results from

Babb Runner-Up Against
Night in America Foes; Ninth in PDC!

28, 2024) Shannon Babb and his #18 team invaded
Fairbury Speedway in downtown Fairbury, Illinois from July 24-27.
The action packed stretch of racing at #FALS began on Wednesday
night with a $20,000 to win Castrol FloRacing Night in America Series
program. Shannon won his heat race in preliminary action and later
led the 50-lap feature twice for a total of 44 laps before earning
a close runner-up performance behind only victor Ricky Thornton,
Jr.!
The World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series then roared
into Fairbury over the weekend to preside over the 34th edition
of the 'Prairie Dirt Classic.' On Friday evening, Shannon timed
in tenth quickest in Group B during the qualifying session prior
to winding up seventh in his $5,000 to win 'Prairie Dirt Showdown'
feature. With a whopping $50,000 top prize up for grabs on Saturday,
Shannon secured a victory in his B-Main and later picked off ten
competitors during the 100-lap PDC to land in the ninth finishing

Shannon Babb Fifth at
Sycamore; Runner-Up at Farmer City!
(July
20, 2024) The #18 team competed with the
DIRTcar Summer Nationals and MARS Racing Series on July 18-19 in
a pair of special events in the Land of Lincoln. With a $6,000 top
prize up for grabs on Thursday night in a rain-postponed "Hell
Tour" show at Sycamore Speedway in Maple Park, Illinois, Shannon
Babb laid down the quickest lap in his group during qualifying,
won his heat race, and later placed fifth in the 30-lap feature
behind only winner Jason Feger, Dennis Erb, Jr., Frank Heckenast,
Jr., and Brian Shirley. At Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois
on Friday evening with the MARS tour, Shannon won his heat race,
led the first two circuits in the 40-lapper, and ultimately finished
a strong runner-up behind only $5,000 victor Brian Shirley! Complete

Sixth in Gopher 50 Opener at Deer Creek Speedway
(July
9, 2024) Shannon Babb Racing (SBR) invaded
both Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minnesota and Lincoln
Speedway in Lincoln, Illinois from July 4-8. The extended holiday
weekend started with the annual 'Gopher 50' at Deer Creek, but Thursday's
prelim show was nixed by rain and pushed back to Friday afternoon
to set up a day/night doubleheader. In the first $7,000 to win show
in the afternoon, Shannon Babb laid down the fastest lap in Group
B during the qualifying session, won his heat race, and later placed
sixth in the 30-lap main event. Under the lights, Shannon unfortunately
missed out on the 30-lapper after finishing sixth in his heat race
and tenth in his B-Main.
On Saturday evening, a whopping $50,000 top prize
was up for grabs in the 'Gopher 50' grand finale. By virtue of his
strong effort on Friday afternoon, Shannon locked himself into the
75-lap headliner and earned the inside of the sixth row by finishing
fifth in the dash. When the checkered flag flew over the World of
Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series field, the Moweaqua,
Illinois ace found himself in the thirteenth finishing position.
Following a travel day on Sunday, it was back to work
for the #18 team on Monday night in a Castrol FloRacing Night in
America Series showdown at Lincoln Speedway. Shannon fought motor
woes the entire evening, but was able to salvage a seventh place
finish in his heat race and a twelfth place effort in the $20,000
