5, 2021) The 2021 racing season for Shannon
Babb Racing (SBR) came to a close on December 2-4 in the 5th Annual
'Gateway Dirt Nationals' at The Dome at America's Center in St.
Louis, Missouri. Things kicked off for Shannon Babb on Thursday
night with a $5,000 to win preliminary event at the indoor 1/5-mile
oval. Shannon timed in seventh quickest in Group A during the qualifying
session before running second in his stacked heat race. After rolling
off from the inside of the fourth row in the 25-lap prelim feature
and drawing an early caution flag, Shannon battled back from the
tail to salvage a solid fifth place performance behind only race
winner Tyler Carpenter, Bob Gardner, Tanner English, and Kyle Hammer.
On Saturday evening in front of a huge throng of fans
in the Dome, Shannon vied for the $30,000 top prize in the season-ending
'Gateway Dirt Nationals.' The Moweaqua, Illinois standout won his
consolation race in preliminary action to earn the inside of the
fifth row for the start of the 40-lapper. Shannon then climbed to
as high as fourth in the running order until suffering problems
and ultimately retiring on lap 31 in the seventeenth finishing position.

Babb Nabs Top Ten in
Lucas Oil MLRA Finale at Tri-City Speedway
17, 2021) Following a rain-out on Friday
night, the Lucas Oil MLRA Series wrapped up their 2021 season on
Saturday evening, October 16 at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City,
Illinois. The show last night at the St. Louis-area oval drew a
25 car field to vie for the $7,000 paycheck. Shannon Babb laid down
the second fastest lap overall during qualifying before placing
third in his stacked heat race. After rolling off from the outside
of the fourth row in the 40-lapper, Shannon drove to a ninth place

Shannon Babb Competes
in Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals
19, 2021) The Shannon Babb Racing (SBR) team
had a quick turnaround after FALS to compete in this weekend's 17th
Annual 'Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals' at the sprawling
Knoxville Raceway from September 16-18. The Lucas Oil Late Model
Dirt Series once again sanctioned the three-day crown jewel program
in the Hawkeye State, which started with a pair of $7,000 to win
preliminary nights. On Thursday, Shannon Babb unfortunately failed
to transfer into the 25-lap feature after finishing eighth in his
heat race and choosing not to start the B-Main. At Knoxville on
Friday, Shannon placed third in his stacked heat race, but drew
a late caution in the 25-lapper on his way to being paid for a twenty-first
By virtue of racking up the twentieth highest point
total during the two prelims, Shannon earned the rights to the outside
of the tenth row for Saturday's 100-lap crown jewel main event.
Eying the lucrative $50,000 winner's check, Shannon was able to
move forward and pick off seven competitors en route to a thirteenth

14, 2021) A special Monday night showdown
greeted the #18 team on September 13 at Fairbury Speedway in downtown
Fairbury, Illinois. The Castrol FloRacing Night in America Series
schedule fired back up last night at FALS and the event dubbed as
'One for the Road' shelled out a $15,000 paycheck. Shannon Babb
clicked off the third quickest lap overall during the qualifying
session prior to running second in his loaded heat race. After starting
the 50-lapper from the outside of the third row, Shannon was unfortunately
part of an early tangle and retired prematurely in the twenty-first

Shannon Babb Runner-Up
in 51st Annual World 100 Prelim at Eldora!
12, 2021) The Shannon Babb Racing (SBR) team
and driver Shannon Babb made their way to the Buckeye State from
September 8-11 for the double 'World 100s' held at the famed Eldora
Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The 51st edition of the "Granddaddy
of Them All" started on Wednesday night with a pair of Twin
25 preliminary events - each of which paid $10,000 to the winner.
Shannon placed second in his heat race, led the first seventeen
circuits of his 25-lap main event, and eventually recorded an impressive
runner-up in the opener behind only winner Tim McCreadie. From the
highs to the lows, Shannon then unfortunately missed out on Thursday's
100-lap headliner that boasted a $54,000 paycheck, as he finished
fifth in his heat race and seventh in his B-Main.
On Friday evening at the "Big E," the 50th
Annual 'World 100' got underway with $10,000 to win Twin 25s. Shannon
ran sixth in his loaded heat race, won his B-Main, and later wound
up posting a twenty-second place performance in his 25-lapper. Saturday's
grand finale was then unfortunately a short one for the #18 team,
as the Moweaqua, Illinois ace was involved in a heat race skirmish
and was not able to transfer into the $53,000 to win 'World 100.'

Babb Nets Top Five in
Labor Day Weekend Opener at Farmer City
5, 2021) Shannon Babb and his #18 team spent
their Labor Day weekend at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois
and Fairbury Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois from September 2-4,
as a trio of MARS Racing Series specials took place in the Land
of Lincoln. The holiday weekend triple shot kicked off on Thursday
night at Farmer City with a $5,000 to win showdown. Shannon won
his heat race and later started third on the grid in the 40-lapper.
The Moweaqua, Illinois standout then battled hard for a podium position
before winding up in the fourth spot behind only race winner Brian
Shirley, Mckay Wenger, and Tanner English.
Another $5,000 top prize was scheduled to be on the
line on Friday evening at Farmer City, but rain showers during heat
race action nixed the 40-lap main event. The MARS tripleheader then
wrapped up on Saturday at Fairbury with the annual running of the
'FALS Super Nationals,' which shelled out a $10,000 paycheck. Shannon
placed second in his heat race, but brought out an early caution
flag in the 50-lap headliner and was officially relegated to a disappointing

in Quad Cities 150 Opener at Davenport
29, 2021) The inaugural running of the 'Quad
Cities 150' took place from August 26-28 and brought the Shannon
Babb Racing (SBR) team to Davenport Speedway in Davenport, Iowa
for the three-day World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series
show. Things kicked off in the Hawkeye State with a pair of $10,000
to win throwdowns. Shannon Babb ran second in his heat race on Thursday
night before advancing past four competitors during the 40-lap feature
en route to a sterling fourth place effort behind only winner Devin
Moran, Bobby Pierce, and Frank Heckenast, Jr. On Friday evening
in a similar program, Shannon placed third in his loaded heat race
and tenth in the 40-lapper.
On Saturday, a whopping $30,000 paycheck was up for
grabs in the 'Quad Cities 150' grand finale. The Moweaqua, Illinois
star unfortunately slipped over the banking in his heat race to
finish eighth, but later battled back to grab the third transfer
spot through his B-Main. Shannon then started the 70-lap headliner
from the outside of the eleventh row and was officially placed sixteenth

Babb Makes Trip South
to Batesville for $40,000 Topless 100...
22, 2021) The #18 SBR team made the trip
to Batesville Motor Speedway on August 19-21 for the 29th edition
of the 'Topless 100.' The popular roofless crown jewel event was
once again sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and
started with a pair of $5,000 to win preliminary races. Following
a rain-out on Thursday at the Locust Grove, Arkansas facility, Shannon
Babb unfortunately narrowly missed out on Friday's 30-lap feature
after finishing fourth in both his heat race and his B-Main.
When Saturday rolled around at BMS, a record crowd
assembled at the track to see who would emerge victorious in the
'Topless 100,' which once again boasted a whopping $40,000 payday.
Shannon placed fifth in his loaded B-Main, which was two mere spots
away from a coveted transfer position into the 100-lap headliner

15, 2021) Shannon Babb Racing (SBR) invaded
both Highland Speedway in Highland, Illinois and Federated Raceway
at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri over the August 13-14 weekend for a
pair of rain-postponed DIRTcar Summer Nationals battles, which each
boasted a $10,000 payday. On Friday night on a rugged racing surface
at Highland, Shannon Babb ran second in his heat race prior to starting
and finishing sixth in the 50-lapper to trail only race winner Brandon
Sheppard, Bobby Pierce, Tanner English, Garrett Alberson, and Ashton
Winger. At Pevely on Saturday evening, Shannon earned Fast Time
honors during the qualifying session and finished second in his
heat race before advancing up to fourth in the 40-lap feature to
trail only victor Bobby Pierce, Brandon Sheppard, and Ashton Winger.

Babb Caught Up in Early
Wreck During 34th Annual USA Nationals...
8, 2021) The #18 SBR team trekked north to
the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin from
August 5-7 for the 34th Annual 'USA Nationals,' which was once again
sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series.
Things kicked off on Thursday with a $6,000 to win preliminary event
in the Badger State and Shannon Babb posted the seventh fastest
lap in Group B during qualifying before running third in his loaded
heat race. In the 30-lap feature event, which was pushed back to
late Friday afternoon due to rain showers, Shannon started the contest
from the outside of the seventh row and was eventually paid for
a steady twelfth place performance.
On Friday evening at Cedar Lake, Shannon won his first
heat race of the night before placing sixth in his final prelim.
By virtue of racking up the thirteenth most passing points during
the double heat race format, Shannon earned the rights to the inside
of the seventh row for Saturday's 100-lap crown jewel main event.
With a whopping $50,000 paycheck on the line, the Moweaqua, Illinois
star was unfortunately caught up in an early wreck and retired prematurely

1, 2021) Shannon Babb and Shannon Babb Racing
(SBR) were one of the 74 teams that descended upon Fairbury Speedway
in downtown Fairbury, Illinois on July 30-31 for the 31st edition
of the 'Prairie Dirt Classic.' The World of Outlaws Morton Buildings
Late Model Series once again presided over the mega-event, which
shelled out a whopping $50,000 paycheck. Shannon timed in twenty-fifth
fastest in Group A during qualifying on Friday night, but thrilled
the home state fans by rallying past eleven competitors to finish
an impressive runner-up in his 25-lap qualifying feature behind
only $3,000 victor Ryan Gustin!
After drawing the sixth starting spot on Saturday
evening, Shannon had his focus set on a fourth 'Prairie Dirt Classic'
title. In front of a standing-room-only crowd, the Moweaqua, Illinois
ace moved forward early in the 100-lap contest before slipping back
to as far as the eighth position. Shannon then made a stirring charge
late in the distance to land on the podium in third behind only

in Second Summer Nationals Stop to Granite City!
24, 2021) Shannon Babb Racing (SBR) invaded
Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois on Friday night, July
23. The second stop of the year by the DIRTcar Summer Nationals
tour to the St. Louis-area facility took place and a $10,000 winner's
check was on the line in the 'Russ Wallace Memorial.' Shannon Babb
earned Fast Time honors of the 38 entrants during "Hell Tour"
qualifying and later secured a heat race triumph. After drawing
the inside of the second row for the start of the 40-lap feature
event, Shannon wound up placing fifth in the caution-free affair
behind only victor Bobby Pierce, Ryan Unzicker, Ashton Winger, and

100th Career Summer Nationals Victory!!!
10, 2021) Shannon Babb, of Moweaqua, Illinois,
captured his 100th career DIRTcar Summer Nationals triumph on Friday
night, July 9 at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois! Shannon
timed in second fastest in Group B during the qualifying session
at the 1/4-mile fairgrounds oval and later secured a heat race triumph.
After drawing the inside of the second row for the start of the
40-lap feature event, Shannon overtook race-long leader Mckay Wenger
on the 24th circuit and led the remainder of the contest to bag
the $10,000 top prize. Finishing behind Babb was a top five that
consisted of runner-up Wenger, Garrett Alberson, Brian Shirley,
and Joe Godsey!
In other "Hell Tour" action this week, the
#18 team was in competition at Spoon River Speedway in Banner, Illinois
and Macon Speedway in Macon, Illinois. On Wednesday in a $5,000
to win shootout at Spoon River, Shannon suffered engine troubles
following qualifying and was forced to a back-up car for the remainder
of the program. He then rallied to fifth in his heat race and won
his B-Main before retiring early in the 40-lapper and settling for
a twenty-first placing showing. At Macon on Thursday in the 41st
Annual 'Herald & Review 100,' which boasted a $5,500 winner's
check, Shannon placed second in his heat race before climbing four
spots to finish third and on the podium after 100 green flag circuits

Fives in Summer Nationals Action!
4, 2021) Shannon Babb has been busy in recent
weeks on the DIRTcar Summer Nationals trail and this past weekend
- July 1-3 - was no different, as the Moweaqua, Illinois ace competed
in a trio of series contests in the states of Iowa and Illinois.
Things kicked off on Thursday night on the 1/4-mile oval at Davenport
Speedway in Davenport, Iowa. Shannon finished sixth in his heat
race and fourth in the B-Main, but later received a provisional
to gain access into the $5,000 to win main event. He then blasted
past sixteen competitors during the 40-lap main event to land in
the fifth finishing position behind only victor Bobby Pierce, Frank
Heckenast, Jr., Brandon Sheppard, and Tony Jackson, Jr.!
At the pristine Dirt Oval at Route 66 in Joliet, Illinois
on Friday evening, a $10,000 top prize was up for grabs at the sprawling
1/2-mile speedplant. Shannon grabbed the third transfer spot through
his heat race, but was unfortunately an early retiree in the 30-lap
feature and was officially paid for a twenty-first place showing.
In a similar $10,000 to win clash on Saturday at Fayette County
Speedway in Brownstown, Illinois, Shannon won his heat race and
ran second in the early stages of the 50-lapper before eventually
crossing underneath the checkers in the third spot behind only race

Top Ten at Sycamore Speedway
27, 2021) Shannon Babb Racing (SBR) was set
to compete in four different DIRTcar Summer Nationals shootouts
from June 23-26 in the states of Illinois and Missouri. Unfortunately,
Mother Nature had other plans, as two events at Spoon River Speedway
in Banner, Illinois and Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri
were washed out and rescheduled. On Wednesday at LaSalle Speedway,
Shannon Babb knocked down the seventh quickest lap in Group B during
qualifying before running fourth in his heat race. After starting
the $5,000 to win headliner at the LaSalle, Illinois bullring from
the inside of the eighth row, Shannon was an early retiree in the
40-lapper and was officially placed twenty-first in the final rundown.
At Sycamore Speedway in Maple Park, Illinois on Friday
evening, a $10,000 top prize was up for grabs for the "Hell
Tour" competitors. Shannon clicked off the sixth fastest time
overall during the qualifying session prior to placing second in
his loaded heat race. The Moweaqua, Illinois ace then fought hard
for a top five showing in the 40-lap headliner, but problems late
in the feature distance dropped Shannon to a tenth place performance.

20, 2021) Shannon Babb stood tall in victory
lane for the second time in 2021 on Saturday night, June 19 at Fairbury
Speedway in downtown Fairbury, Illinois! Shannon clicked off the
fastest lap in Group B during DIRTcar Summer Nationals qualifying
before running second in his stacked heat race. After rolling off
from the outside of the third row in the 50-lap main event, Shannon
utilized the bottom groove of the 1/4-mile facility to streak to
the front and past leader Tanner English on lap 36. The Moweaqua,
Illinois ace then held the point for the remainder of the feature
distance to pocket the $10,000 payday ahead of English, Devin Moran,
Frank Heckenast, Jr., and Bobby Pierce!
Earlier in the weekend on Friday in a similar $10,000
to win "Hell Tour" throwdown at Tri-City Speedway in Granite
City, Illinois, Shannon posted the third quickest time in Group
A during qualifying prior to placing second in his heat race. He
then started the 40-lapper from the inside of the third row and
eventually finished right where he started... in the fifth spot
