Shannon Babb Racing (SBR) made their way to Kokomo Speedway in Kokomo, Indiana on September 19-20 for the inaugural running of the 'Kokomo Dirt Nationals,' which was sanctioned by the XR Super Series. On Monday night in the $20,000 to win opener, Shannon Babb unfortunately missed out on the 40-lap feature after finishing fourth in his loaded heat race and third in his B-Main. At Kokomo on Tuesday evening in the finale, which boasted a whopping $40,000 paycheck, Shannon grabbed the third transfer spot through his heat race before winding up seventeenth in the final rundown of the 60-lapper. On Tuesday evening, September 13, the Castrol FloRacing Night in America Series sanctioned the annual 'One for the Road' at Fairbury Speedway and a $22,022 top prize was on the line at the downtown Fairbury, Illinois oval. Shannon Babb was one of the 42 competitors that piled into the pit area at #FALS and he started off the night by laying down the third fastest lap in Group A during qualifying. Shannon then finished a strong second in his heat race and later started the 50-lap main event from the inside of the third row. During the course of the contest, Shannon ran as high as second in the running order before eventually landing on the podium in third behind only victor Bobby Pierce and runner-up Frank Heckenast, Jr.! Shannon Babb Racing Steady Throughout Long Week at Eldora

A huge week of racing was on tap at Eldora Speedway from September 7-10 and the action at the Rossburg, Ohio speedplant kicked off on Wednesday with the conclusion of the rain-postponed 'Dirt Late Model Dream' from June. With a $128,000 paycheck up for grabs in the final 86 laps of the main event, Shannon Babb fought hard to move forward in the race before eventually winding up nineteenth in the final finishing order.

Next up at the "Big E" was the 52nd Annual 'World 100,' which got underway with a pair of Twin 25 preliminary programs - each of which paid $12,000 to the winner. On Thursday evening, Shannon grabbed the fourth transfer spot through his heat race before finishing fifteenth in his 25-lap sprint. In a similar show on Friday night, Shannon ran third in his heat race and twentieth in his 25-lapper. With a $55,000 top prize on the line in Saturday's annual 'World 100,' the Moweaqua, Illinois star won his heat race, but unfortunately drew a lap 38 caution flag and ultimately placed twenty-second in the final rundown of the 100-lap crown jewel headliner. Babb Lands on Podium in $10,000 Specials in Land of Lincoln!

The Shannon Babb Racing (SBR) team was in action in a tripleheader over the busy Labor Day weekend at three different tracks across the Land of Lincoln from September 1-3. On Thursday night in the rain-postponed 'Herald & Review 100' at the tiny Macon Speedway in Macon, Illinois, Shannon Babb clicked off the second fastest lap in his group during qualifying before securing a victory in his heat race. After starting the $5,000 to win headliner from the inside of the second row, Shannon unfortunately ran into mechanical trouble early in the 100-lapper and was forced to retire in the twenty-second position.

A pair of $10,000 top prizes were then up for grabs with the MARS Racing Series over the weekend at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois and Fairbury Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois. At Farmer City on Friday evening, Shannon placed second in his loaded heat race before advancing up to third during the 40-lap feature to land on the podium behind only victor Mike Spatola and runner-up Bobby Pierce. Shannon Babb Blasts to Quad Cities 150 Podium Performance!!

The month of August for Shannon Babb was capped off in a big way in the 'Quad Cities 150' at Davenport Speedway in Davenport, Iowa from August 25-27. The World of Outlaws Case Construction Late Model Series once again sanctioned the three-day extravaganza, which started with a pair of $10,000 to win preliminary programs. On Thursday night in the opener, Shannon placed second in his heat race before running a solid sixth in the 40-lap feature event. At the 1/4-mile oval on Friday evening, Shannon finished third in his heat race and nineteenth in the 40-lapper.

The 'Quad Cities 150' then concluded on Saturday and a huge crowd was on hand in the Hawkeye State to witness the finale, which boasted a hefty $30,000 windfall. After running eighth in his heat race and fifth in his B-Main, Shannon was awarded a track provisional and later started the 70-lap headliner from the inside of the thirteenth row. Babb Makes Return to Florence Speedway for North/South 100

Next up on the racing calendar for the #18 team was a visit to Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky from August 11-13 for the 40th edition of the 'North/South 100.' A pair of preliminary programs were planned to kick off the action at the Cincinnati-area facility, but a rain-out on Thursday scrapped the first of two $5,000 to win events. On Friday evening, Shannon Babb placed seventh in his loaded heat race prior to picking off four competitors in his 25-lap main event. At the checkers, Shannon was paid for a fifteenth place effort in his first Florence race in over a decade.

A huge standing-room-only crowd was then on hand on Saturday, as all eyes at the historic venue were solely set on who would capture the whopping $75,000 winner's check in the 'North/South 100.' Shannon ran sixth in his stacked heat race and later blasted all the way up to fourth in his B-Main. Shannon Babb Racing (SBR) remained up north on August 8-9, as they competed in a pair of XR Super Series showdowns at Gondik Law Speedway in Superior, Wisconsin dubbed as the 'XR Superior Showcase.' On Monday night in the first of two $20,000 to win contests, Shannon Babb ran third in his loaded heat race prior to finishing tenth in the final rundown of the 40-lap feature. Horns Up; New Longhorn Nets Pair of Top Tens at Cedar Lake!

Debuting a brand-new Longhorn Chassis, Shannon Babb and his #18 SBR team were in action over the August 4-6 weekend at the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin. On Thursday evening, a $6,000 top prize was up for grabs in a prelim event, which was sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Case Construction Late Model Series. Shannon stopped the clock tenth quickest in Group A during qualifying before placing fourth in his stacked heat race. After rolling off from the inside of the eighth row in the 30-lap sprint, Shannon was able to streak past seven competitors en route to a steady eighth place effort.

At CLS over the weekend, the 'USA Nationals' got underway on Friday night with a double round of qualifying heat races. Shannon placed fifth in his first heat race and fourth in his second heat race of the evening. Babb Enters Lucrative Prairie Dirt Classic Weekend at FALS

Shannon Babb Racing (SBR) made their yearly July pilgrimage to Fairbury Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois on July 29-30 for the annual running of the 'Prairie Dirt Classic.' The World of Outlaws Case Construction Late Model Series once again presided over the action at FALS and a $50,000 top prize was up for grabs in the finale plus lap money. On Friday night during preliminary action with 81 cars on hand, Shannon Babb stopped the clock twenty-fourth fastest in Group B during qualifying before finishing thirteenth in his $3,000 to win preliminary feature. Following the big win on Thursday night at Fayette County (IL) Speedway, the #18 SBR team was right back in action over the weekend in a pair of high-profile races in the states of Iowa and Illinois. On Saturday evening in a stop at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa, the annual running of the 'Slocum 50' shelled out a $10,555 paycheck. Shannon Babb laid down the seventh quickest lap overall during Lucas Oil MLRA Series qualifying prior to running third in his stacked heat race. Shannon was then unfortunately an early retiree in the 50-lap headliner and was ultimately paid for a twenty-sixth place performance.

Babb Captures $10k in 101st Career Hell Tour Victory!!!

Shannon Babb, of Moweaqua, Illinois, captured his first triumph of the 2022 racing season on Thursday night, June 30 in a DIRTcar Summer Nationals stop at Fayette County Speedway in Brownstown, Illinois! Shannon stopped the clock second fastest in his group during qualifying and later ran second in his heat race. After rolling off from the inside of the third row in the 50-lap headliner, Shannon grabbed the point on the fourteenth circuit and led the rest of the distance to pocket the $10,000 winner's check for his record 101st career series win. Finishing behind his #18 machine at the checkers was runner-up Tanner English, Bobby Pierce, Trevor Gundaker, and Billy Moyer, Jr.!

Earlier in the week, the "Hell Tour" took the SBR team to the newly-reopened Red Hill Raceway in Sumner, Illinois on Tuesday for a $5,000 to win battle. The Shannon Babb Racing (SBR) team was ultra-busy from June 22-26 in five high-profile events across the states of Illinois and Missouri and they were able to amass a pair of runner-up finishes and four top ten performances. Shannon Babb won his heat race on Wednesday night at Adams County Speedway in Quincy, Illinois before bringing home a strong second place finish in the DIRTcar Summer Nationals headliner behind only $5,000 winner Bobby Pierce. On Sunday evening in a World of Outlaws Case Construction Late Model Series headliner at Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Illinois, Shannon won his heat race and led the first 26 circuits of the 40-lapper prior to bagging another runner-up effort behind only $10,000 victor Brandon Sheppard!

In other action during the hectic week, Shannon utilized a "Hell Tour" provisional on Thursday at Spoon River Speedway in Banner, Illinois and picked off nine competitors during the $5,000 to win affair to land in the twelfth finishing position. The Shannon Babb Racing (SBR) team trekked to Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from June 8-11 to compete in both the 'Eldora Million' and the 'Dirt Late Model Dream.' Following a washout on Wednesday night, the entire 'Eldora Million' extravaganza took place on Thursday at the 1/2-mile, high-banked venue. In the $12,000 to win daytime preliminary event, Shannon Babb ran third in his heat race prior to advancing five spots during the 25-lap sprint to finish fifth behind only victor Chris Ferguson, Chris Madden, Mike Marlar, and Devin Moran. In the nightcap, Shannon earned the third and final transfer spot through his heat race into the 101-lap 'Eldora Million' and was later paid for a twenty-first place performance in the $1,002,022 to win contest.

Over the weekend at the "Big E," all eyes at Eldora Speedway were focused on the annual running of the 'Dirt Late Model Dream,' which kicked off with another $12,000 to win preliminary show on Friday evening. Following a rain-out on Thursday night, Shannon Babb posted the twelfth quickest lap in Group A during Friday's qualifying session before running fourth in his heat race and second in his B-Main. The four-race "Illinois Speedweek" kept the Shannon Babb Racing (SBR) team busy from May 11-14. Things kicked off in the Land of Lincoln with a pair of $22,022 to win Castrol FloRacing Night in America Series battles at Spoon River Speedway in Banner, Illinois and Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, Illinois. On Wednesday night at Spoon River, Shannon Babb unfortunately missed out on the 50-lap feature after finishing eighth in his heat race and eleventh in his B-Main. Round two of the week on Thursday at Lincoln went much smoother, as Shannon ran second in his heat race prior to moving up to finish eighth in the 50-lapper.

The MARS Racing Series then took over the sanctioning duties over the weekend in a pair of lucrative events at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois and Fairbury Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois. The three-day World of Outlaws Case Construction Late Model Series event kicked off with a pair of $10,000 to win preliminary programs. On Thursday night, Shannon unfortunately hit the wall in qualifying, but later battled back to finish sixth in his heat race, third in his B-Main, and twenty-third in the 40-lap feature. At MTS on Friday evening, Shannon placed sixth in his loaded heat race and fifth in his B-Main, but unfortunately kept him out of the 40-lapper.

Following the season-opening weekend in the Show-Me State, the Shannon Babb Racing (SBR) team made a quick turnaround to be ready for a pair of $22,022 to win Castrol FloRacing Night in America Series midweek specials in the states of Ohio and Indiana on April 26-27. On Tuesday night at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, Shannon Babb battled a rough racing surface to finish sixth in his heat race, second in his B-Main, and twentieth in the 30-lap main event. At Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana on Wednesday evening in a similar $22,022 to win show, Shannon ran eighth in his loaded heat race, third in his B-Main, and twenty-third in the 50-lap headliner. Babb Kicks Off Season in MLRA Doubleheader at Wheatland

After a month of bad weather, Shannon Babb and his #18 team finally lifted the lid to their 2022 racing season over the April 22-23 weekend in a Lucas Oil MLRA Series doubleheader at the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri! On Friday night in the $5,000 to win weekend opener, Shannon ran second in his heat race, but was unfortunately an early retiree in the 40-lap feature and settled for a twenty-sixth place effort. At Wheatland on Saturday evening in the weekend finale, which boasted a $7,000 payday, Shannon placed third in heat race action before once again retiring early in the 40-lapper to land in the twenty-third finishing position.
